Over the years, subscribers and visitors to Emini-Watch.com have made numerous suggestions. I’m always interested in new ideas that might improve the website.
But there are also suggestions that I have decided not to adopt. At the risk of showing my fascist leanings, here’s why:
1. Why Don’t You … Allow Comments on Daily Updates?
Unfortunately blog Comments often degenerate into mud slinging. The Internet is an extraordinary advance in communication – but its anonymity allows people to hide behind pseudonyms and say things they would never dare to face-to-face. I have no interest in enabling or wasting my time with this unproductive activity.
2. Why Don’t You … Have a Forum?
This is a 50:50 decision. I realize having a Forum would give users of the ‘Better’ indicators a dedicated space to exchange ideas. However, managing and contributing to a Forum takes time – and I’m a trader first and foremost.
Maybe in time I will change my mind on this one. But in the meantime there are hundreds of trading forums out there and opportunities to start discussion threads on the ‘Better’ indicators and prove there is demand for an Emini-Watch.com Forum.
3. Why Don’t You … Start a Trading Room or Signal Service?
To run a Trading Room or Signal Service you need to be very regimented in your trading – subscribers rightly expect a consistent level of service. Currently I don’t have a home base and I divide my time between Australia, France and Hawaii.
As a result, my trading routine is not consistent and I don’t think I would do a Trading Room or Signal Service justice. Plus, I’m still just a regular guy who makes a living trading Emini futures – I’m not a trading Guru and I haven’t discovered the Holy Grail.
4. Why Don’t You … Write this Nifty Little Indicator for Me?
Sorry, I don’t do custom programming. As Tim Cook, Apple Computer’s CEO, says: “We believe in saying ‘no’ to thousands of projects so that we can really focus on the few that are truly important and meaningful to us.”
My priority will always be the ‘Better’ indicators – improving the code, making the signals less discretionary and more systematic and making them the best day trading indicators for Emini trading available.
OK, now I’ve got that off my chest – let’s get back to Emini Trading.
