Something different this weekend. Wanted to show how the 3 non-correlated indicators (Better Sine Wave, Better Momentum and Better Pro Am) work for day trading Crude Oil. Over-optimization will always kill a system – I've learned that the hard way. The video below shows the same Day Trading principles apply to Crude Oil as the Emini.

Day Trading – Crude Oil (9:01)
Here is a screenshot of the 500 tick Crude Oil chart showing turning points repeat the same sequence of price, volume and average trade size:
Exhaustion buying/selling volume
Volume divergence with less buying/selling and higher highs/lower lows
"End of Trend" price cycle warning signal
Cycle turn after "End of Trend" is often low risk entry point, and
Professionals active at price extremes
And always trade in sympathy with the higher time frames to ensure high probability entry points.

I'll post the latest Commitment of Traders charts tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend.

The Emini roller coaster ride continues. Did anybody notice the Euro is back to where it started? So take that, Mr Sarkozy. I'm still waiting for an "End of Trend" warning signal on the 45 minute Emini chart before being convinced the trend is now up.

Here is a screenshot of my Emini day trade. Nice quick 4 points before the first half hour of trade. I miss-marked my entry on the chart, it was actually after the "End of Trend" warning signal. The real-time video is below if you're interested.

I really have mixed feelings about posting these Emini Day Trading videos. I always get some great emails saying they're really helpful. But if you don't have the "Better" indicators – they're not very useful. So, go ahead and delete this email.
If you're still interested, here's 3 Emini Day Trades from Thursday and Friday. Thursday was one trade for 5.50 points. Friday was two trades for 8.00 points total. And Friday was all done in the first 17 minutes of trading! Yipee for the volatility.

Couple of videos today. First of all a wrap up of the last couple of days. And what a roller-coaster ride. My bias was to the upside (wrong!) but I thought we'd break into a trend (right!).
We're coming into a cyclical turn on the daily time frame and that should provide support. But it looks like a day or two away. The chart below shows what I mean.
The second video shows a couple of nice Emini day trades, both Short. One hit my 4 point profit target; the other I exited early for 3 points – but it was good for another 2 points. Still, the point of showing the trades is to illustrate how to use 3 non-correlated indicators to signal high probability turning points.

I knew we'd get some decent range to trade today – it always happens after a quiet day. And we're back up at 1193 on the Emini. No one want to take a run at 1200?
Wrap up and real time Emini trade videos today showing a nice "swan dive" Short. Made 3.50 points but the move was good for another 3 points. My "early profit taking" DNA kicked in again.

OK. So Monday was a low volume, low range, No Demand, go nowhere day. But you know the good news? It means tomorrow (Tuesday) we'll have some decent range to trade. Small range always gives way to large range.
I've agonized a bit today whether to post my real time Emini trade video. To be honest it's pretty dull. Only a 1.50 point trade. But it does show that even on go nowhere days like today, you can take low risk trades, make some money and then stop for the day.
After all, there's always tomorrow. I'm not trying to kick a home run – or is that make a home run and kick a winning goal – every day. I'm quite happy to keep it boring and pick up the small change the market gives me every day.
OK, enough of my philosophizing. What I really want to know is:
If you're not trading Emini futures, why not?
I regularly get emails from traders asking if my methodology works for stocks or forex or gold. Well, yes and no. But that's not the point – do you know how hard you're making life for yourself by not trading Emini futures?
Enough sales pitch. Recorded a new video on why I trade Emini futures. If you're interested, go check it out here: Why Trade Emini Futures.

Hope your Emini day trading is going well. I always get positive feedback when I post some of my day trading real time videos. So here's another. Apologies if I sound half asleep – I'm in Sydney for the next few months and so I'm trading at midnight.

Want to see me commit one of my 7 Deadly Sins in real time? Yup – took profits after just 2 points – when there was another 4 points in the move. Ouch.
Well, not really. My motto "Get out, don't get greedy" works both ways. I don't feel extreme pain (losses) but I don't feel extreme euphoria (profits) either. Would have been nice to get a re-entry signal but the move just accelerated to the down side.

Back in Australia and still getting used to the time zone. Just a recap of yesterday's Emini action – showing how a double top is formed with first Professional then Amateur activity. Are we seeing the same pattern in the daily Emini chart? And how about this Euro hysteria – is it a re-run of December's US Dollar hysteria?

Wow, dramatic 24 hours in the Emini market. Topped out yesterday with an "End of Trend" signal on the 45 minute chart, then bottomed today with an "End of Trend" signal on the 4,500 tick chart. And we're back to where we started.
Video today showing the Professional buying that confirmed a likely rally – but the strength of it took me by surprise. I was out before it really got going! Darn that 'taking profits early' gene I have.
Where to from here? I'm really 50:50 as I discuss in the video. My gut says this was Professional selling into this high volume rally. And of course the market is not going to make it easy for us.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be trading until mid next week. Two months in Hawaii has gone by quickly and my wife and I are finally on our way back to Sydney, Australia, after 6 months away. So good luck with your Emini trading over the next few days.
