Commitment of Traders Charts After a Historic Week

After a historic week, here are the latest Commitment of Traders charts.

Commitment of Traders: Professionals -6.6% (short)

The Professionals have increased their net short positions from -4.3% last week to -6.6% this week. Bear in mind that the Commitment of Traders data is collected after the close on Tuesday and so we will not know until next week whether some of these shorts were covered on Friday.

Commitment of Traders: Oscillator -32

The Commitment of Traders Oscillator continued to rise from -43 to -32. The bullish divergence pattern is still evident with higher lows on the Oscillator and lower lows on the Emini. At some point we will have a "snap back" rally that will be fast and violent.
